How do you make a BBQ Pizza?

    1. Heat the BBQ pizza oven to a high temperature (around 300–350°C), allowing 15–20 minutes to come up to heat.

    2. Top the base following the 3-Toppings Rule — 1 sauce, 1 cheese, max 2 toppings.

    3. Slide the pizza onto the hot stone in the BBQ pizza oven.

    4. Bake for 90 seconds to 2 minutes, keeping the lid closed for even heat.

    5. Rotate 180 degrees halfway through for an evenly cooked base.

This base recipe is exactly that: a base. Once you've mastered the technique, the rest is playtime. Try rolling your dough thinner for a crispy Neapolitan style, or a little thicker for a light, airy crust. The charcoal flavour the barbecue lends makes every variation something special. No home oven can compete.

Want to make even more delicious outdoor pizzas? Experiment with seasonal toppings: grilled courgette and ricotta in summer, mushrooms with truffle oil in autumn. A good pizza stone and a hot barbecue are your two best friends. The rest is up to you.
