The products from the Jay Hill Tunea series are made of 100% olivewood. The natural material comes from old olive trees that can no longer produce olives.
Olivewood is one of the hardest woods in the world. It is also a healthier alternative than most other woods, because it is made of natural olivewood. In the Tunea line, are different serving trays, spatulas, and other kitchen tools are available for purchase.
Due to the various age rings in wood, each product features a unique design. The products may also have small length differences. This gives a natural twist to your kitchen decor. To keep the olivewood in its best condition, we recommend only hand-washing the products. Soaking them in water can also damage the wood. Is the olivewood starting to lose colour or dry out? Olive oil or maintenance wax are great products to help you treat olivewood. Once a month, oil the coasters with Jay Hill Maintenance Oil and make sure the coasters dry completely before use again, otherwise they leave oil stains.
