Alfredo Häberli is an Argentine designer, born in the city of Buenos Aires. At the age of 13, Haberli moved to the other side of the world: Switzerland's largest city, Zurich. Today, he is a graduate in Industrial Design and a very successful designer.
Haberli has worked with various international companies including BMW, Georg Jensen, Luceplan and Iittala. For Iittala, Haberli designed the colourful Iittala Origo dinnerware set and the stylish Iittala Essence glassware set, among others. For the Danish brand Georg Jensen, he designed the Alfredo series with various articles for a modern laid table, such as bread baskets and salt and pepper shakers.
For his innovative designs, Alfredo Haberli has won numerous awards in recent years, including the Swiss Grand Prix of Design in 2014. In addition, his designs have been featured in various exhibitions throughout Europe.
Since 1881, Iittala has strived to provide inspiration for a more beautiful and enjoyable life. The Iittala range consists of tableware and decoration and has a good combination of distinction and functionality.
What once began as a glass factory in the Finnish village of Iittala has developed into an internationally renowned brand that has played a decisive role in defining the Scandinavian lifestyle. The brand's philosophy is that quality never goes out of fashion.
