The Forged VG10 is the smaller variant of the chef's knife. Ideal for cutting vegetables or smaller pieces of meat. Thanks to its narrow blade, you can work with it very precisely. Unlike most series from Forged, the VG10 knives are made of Japanese VG10 Steel with a hardness of 60 Rockwell. All Forged VG10 knives are hand-forged in 5 layers, have a blade thickness of 2 mm, and a cutting angle of 18 degrees.
The design and layout of the Forged VG10 series were inspired by Japan. This is reflected, among other things, in the transition from the blade to the handle. This series is named after the type of steel used for the blade.
The Japanese VG10 steel has a hardness of no less than 60 Rockwell. The knives are forged in 5 layers, subtly creating that typical look seen on damask knives. These techniques ensure sharpness and cutting comfort. The knives have a special handle made of luxurious root wood and come with a brown leather knife sheath. The luxurious gift box completes the picture.
