What are fragrance notes?
First, it is important to know that a home fragrance is made up of three different fragrance notes. These fragrance notes can be distinguished into: top, heart and base notes. The function of these three fragrance notes will be briefly shown below:
Top notes
The top notes contain ingredients that will be immediately revealed in the first minutes after igniting the house perfume. This fragrance note is very dominant and is therefore meant to catch your attention. In addition, the top notes exude the first impression of the fragrance. After about ten minutes, this fragrance note will hardly be smellable in your living room. Also, in the perfume world, citrus can be described as typical top notes.
Heart notes
The ingredients that make up the heart notes will only reveal themselves after the top notes have largely disappeared. This is about ten minutes after ignition of the house perfume. These fragrance notes are the most important part of a fragrance and often include different flower types. Not for nothing are floral notes described in the perfume world as typical heart notes. Also, the heart notes will be present the longest and usually only dissipate after two hours.
Base notes
The base notes are all the ingredients that remain after the heart notes have largely disappeared. Therefore, these fragrance notes will only reveal themselves after two hours. In addition, base notes will linger in your living room for many hours, constantly giving off a scent. As a result, you can often still smell the house perfume the next morning! Also, in the perfume world, woods can be described as typical base notes.
Fragrance quadrants

Floral
These are all home fragrances referred to as typical feminine scents. The main ingredients consist mainly of all kinds of flowers and sweet spices. The floral home fragrances are often associated with seduction and passion.
Fruity
All home fragrances that can be described as very sweet and fresh fall under this fragrance quadrant. Therefore, the main ingredients consist of various fruits, vegetables and green notes. The fruity home fragrances can also be seen as refreshing and mysterious.
Spicy
These are all home perfumes referred to as typical masculine fragrances. The main ingredients consist mainly of all kinds of flowers, spices and wood. The spicy home fragrances are often associated with the classic, heavy scents of the Middle East, Africa and South America.
Sweet
All home fragrances that can be described as very sweet and warm fall under this fragrance quadrant. The main ingredients therefore consist of various fruits, spices and herbs. The sweet home fragrances can additionally be seen as warming.
Fresh
These are all home fragrances referred to as green and fresh. The main ingredients consist mainly of all kinds of citrus fruits, wood, herbs, flowers and water. The fresh home fragrances are often associated with e
