Charles Schumann
Schumann's' is a familiar concept to many. Charles Schumann has owned his eponymous pub in Munich for thirty years.
In 1941, he was born in Kirchenthumbach, an area in eastern Germany. In his younger years, Schumann attended a secondary school in Regensburg, where he did grammar school. When he was seventeen years old, he quit school and started working. He did this at the federal police service, called the Bundesgrenzschuts. After some time, he went back to school. Schumann did this in Switzerland. After graduating, he had various jobs from 1971 to 1973 in clubs on the Adriatic coast and in the south of France. Nevertheless, Schumann returned to school. He studied at the Universität fur Politik und Publizistik in Munich. Finally, in 1982, he opened his well-known Schumann's Café.
Together with the German brand Schott Zwiesel, Charles Schumann developed the Schott Zwiesel Basic Bar Collection. Each glass in this set is designed to emphasise the properties and character of the drink it is intended for.
