Arne Jacobsen
Arne Jacobsen was a Danish designer, architect and professor. Shortly after completing his architectural studies, Arne Jacobsen founded his own architectural firm in Copenhagen in 1930. Besides his famous designs such as St Catherine's College in Oxford and the SAS Hotel in Copenhagen, Arne Jacobsen also designed interior products.
He is especially known for the chairs The Egg and The Ant. Arne Jacobsen designed these unique chairs for the SAS Hotel in Copenhagen, which he designed himself. In this way, he could combine his passion for architecture and interior design. He also designed home accessories and tableware, such as his Arne Jacobsen cutlery collection for the Danish brand Georg Jensen.
